A French Fall

One of the best seasons of the year is upon us, but you want to stay chic? Well then, I have the inspiration for you. My credit comes right from the source itself. In my time living in France, I was able to learn the do’s and don’ts of Parisian fall fashion. Do’s: keep it simple but chic; French girls love a good statement piece, but they know when to use it. You won’t see a woman walking down the street in a sweater and jeans with a neon yellow scarf for a casual outing. When you are out and about, a monotone colored sweater with a good dark-colored pair of jeans and a long coat will do just the trick. Make the outfit your own by adding a pair of red ballet flats and a Miu Miu Adventure Nappa leather bag. Bonus points if you are on your way to get a cappuccino and have a cheeky cigarette. DON’T throw on a pair of sweats with a messy bun to do your morning coffee run (please I am speaking from experience here, the judgmental look from a Paris native is never welcoming) Parisians believe in the art of taking your time and savoring the little moments, like that morning cafe pitstop. Now let’s talk when the sun goes down. DON’T wear light washed denim, DO go for a sexier darker option and if denim isn’t the vibe you can never go wrong with a skirt no matter what the length. Just know if you’re wanting to go for a more sophisticated look, your best friend will be a midi or maxi skirt, might I add opting into a fitted sheer lace top, but you can also never go wrong with silk or satin. You want to blend with the night not disturb it. Remember Paris is a fashion capitol and France takes pride in their high end, suave lifestyle it is in your best interest to look the part. Leave your fast fashion pieces at home and sink your teeth into this beautiful, rich culture.

bisous, ciao ♡
